OrthoTexas is proud to welcome Chad Kennedy, MD, to the practice, and back home. Dr. Kennedy is a native Texan, whose early life and extensive education span the state. He and his family have returned to TX from Florida where he completed his fellowship.
Dr. Kennedy grew up in Amarillo and attended West Texas A&M University in Canyon. Brawn and brains, he graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Biology/Chemistry, and was the team captain and a four-year letterman of the WT Buffalos’ football team. He then became a Red Raider and earned his Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech School of Medicine in Lubbock. After graduation, Dr. Kennedy concluded his Texas tour of higher learning, completing his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in San Antonio.
Dr. Kennedy was then selected from over 100 qualified graduates of top orthopaedic training programs nationwide to participate in a12-month Fellowship Program at Andrews Research & Education Foundation in Florida. There, he was an important member of the team dedicated to the care of patients with injuries of both upper and lower extremities.
Dr. Kennedy specializes in the treatment of foot and ankle injuries and disorders. He currently works out of the OrthoTexas Denton office and lives in the area with his wife, Kara, and their daughter, Pate. When he isn’t spending quality time with his lovely family, he enjoys golfing, running, and of course, watching Texas football.
